I've seen it just enough times to know its about to explode. Get yourself and oversized hobo in the brightest color you can find. Now when I say oversized, I mean the bag should be the size of your TORSO! I kid you not!
I was at Sylvan learning center shadowing a teacher. One of her students was this chic college student from FSU. Student has problems with study skills but not fashion. Clad in a black, long sleeve boat-neck tee and black demin editor pants (i couldn't see her shoes) she had a red scarf tied like my scarf idol Nicole Richie, some oversized black shades (again Nicole), and the fiercest hobo in fire engine red!!!!! it had grommets along the zipper and the thing was HUGE! her moncromatic look was so streamlined and the pop of color from the bag was just enough fashion forward to not be trying too hard to be trendy. (that was a bad ass sentence)
I believe Modern Girl's Guide to Life said that's one way to be trendy w/o breaking the bank on a new wardrobe: update yor accessories.
Next point. Walking to class. a girl is wearing khaki bottoms, brown top and the biggest yellow hobo i've seen. i wanted it sooooo bad!
Last point. I saw a teal humongo hobo. chick was wearing my FAVE neutral combo of khaki and white. (I really HATE that combo. How neutral can you be??) and her color came from the bag. oh yeah, she had a denim vest on. more ick.
Note: i love the GAP, i am an official GAP groupie, I will spend my last dollar at the GAP (no i won't. publix, then the GAP) but please do not wear all their staples at the same time. Neutrals like denim, black, white, khaki, and sometimes gray are meant to be worn with COLOR! gray and pink is one of my FAVE combos! khaki and yellow i love as well as peach. how fire is black, white and magenta? or turquoise? now of course you can do denim with anything but if its with another neutral PLEASE don't forget to throw an actual color in the mix. thank you so much.
Stace
So yeah, go grab an oversized hobo. Ace, i'ma have something for you later. Unless you WANT a ginormous purse and some leopard print pumps...

yeah i agree. i prefer big bags anyway- little bags are too formal. was that chick going to work at a grocery store? khaki white and denim? noooo...
you're an ass for that last comment. i'm am going to disagree with you on this one. i hate ginormo bags. the size of your torso? huh uh. make it stop. thanks. and the one you linked to was particularly ugly w/those flowers!! ugh and yuck! sorry stace.
i like the fact that i was personally addressed in the post. It shows attention to readership. And the despite the fact that the post really had nothing for me as a guy, i read it anyway. And got to the end.

Joy- they say people should accessorize with respect to their size but I can't help big bags either! I love huge totes and I'm feening for a huge hobo!
Jameil- that was an ugly pic. believe it or not, it was the best one. i google-d for hobo images and that's what they gave me. that and metallic ones. do better guys.
Ace- I promise I'ma have something for the guys! But you're a rocker and do your own thing anyway...
AMEN to the big bag fetish.. I LOVE THEM!! When I was driving home from Virginia yeterday, Wendy Williams was talking about this company where you can rent a high end bag (everything from Coach to Chloe) for a certain amount of money per month. Then when the bag isn't hot anymore (or when you're tired of it), you return it and get something else if you want. Sounds like a great idea, but would you be pressed if you were renting bags that you know you could never afford to buy? What do you think?
i heard abt the bag rental. i hate that idea b/c i hate germs. ewwwww. how many other hands have touched it? nastiness. no thanks. i'll pass. i thought it was an interesting idea tho.
